Earth Day Flower Collage {Favorite Friday}

Friday, April 20, 2012

Every other Friday we feature an activity that was inspired by another blogger.  Make and Take's Accordian Flower Collage seemed like the perfect Earth Day activity because we upcycled cardboard and magazine pages to create the craft, and flowers are part of the circle of life and the Earth's beauty.

In Make and Take's activity they used beautiful flowers from watercolor paper. We made the activity more Earth friendly by using old magazines to create the flowers.  Here are the directions how to make the spring flower collage.

Miss E and I each created one half of the collage, and her favorite part was decorating the flowers with paint.  It has made a lovely Spring decoration.

Why not celebrate Earth Day with an Earth friendly meal?  Here's how we created a meal with green practices.
