As a mom, it's easy to become overwhelmed by all this is left undone. Since we are the proud parents parents of three more children, there are A LOT of chores that have fallen by the wayside. I won't bother to share the boring list of chores.
The most obvious sign that our to do list is incomplete are the growing weeds in the yard. And it's hard not to feel embarrassed by the state of our yard.
But when my children are playing in the yard, I forget about the weeds because they enjoy it regardless. When little hands gift me with little blossoms (from the weeds), it reminds me that beauty is found in the imperfect.
At least week's Parenting Party, I could relate to posts shared by bloggers who appreciated the positive in stressful circumstances.
Love the idea of maybe they have more important things to do. There is a season to all the things we have to do in life. Children are only here for a short time in our homes.

What a great reminder, Rebekah. I think we are our harshest critics. Confession: My car is a disaster. And after trying to keep the house from being such, it ever occurs to me to go lean out the car until I'm in the drop-off line and horrified!
I love it! I often don't take pics of my kids because behind them, the house is messy - and I know someday I'll regret all those memories I didn't capture. Definitely too busy having fun to keep the house neat!
