One of our family's favorite Christmas activities is walking around the neighborhood to view the holiday decorations and lights.

For the Creative Christmas Countdown, I created a Christmas Lights Scavenger Hunt Printable to add a bit of challenge and outdoor fun to a Christmas walk.

Simply print the FREE Christmas Scavenger Hunt Printable.  Attach it to a piece of cardboard and bring along a crayon or marker for your child to mark off the decorations she finds.

To make your scavenger hunt printable look more festive, adhere it to the back of a gift bag with contact paper and use a dry erase marker or crayon to mark it.

For older children, they can put tally marks next to each picture to count how many of each item they found on the walk.  Later, they can compare which decorations are most and least popular in your neighborhood.

Enjoy the scavenger hunt!

Please only use the Christmas Lights Scavenger hunt for personal or educational purposes.  It is not intended for resale or mass production.

Fun idea! Outdoor lights aren't really big here, but I think we could still do this with decorations in general if we took it downtown. Thanks for the idea!

Great idea...can be as simple or complex as a mom wants or according to the ages of the kids. Thanks, Rebekah!

Thanks so much Rebekah! Each year in our neighborhood they hold a luminarias walk - this is such a fun thing for the kids to have something to look for while we admire the lights.
