Best Outdoor Toys

Since we spend almost every day playing in the backyard, we bought our children outdoor toys for Christmas.
What a joy to spend Christmas morning playing outdoors!
The two favorite toys were the large Tonka dump truck and the Rody Pony.
My kids are highly energetic, and bouncing along on the Rody satisfies their need to move. It encourages imaginative play as they give it names and care for it by feeding it leaves or washing it with things like mud.
A popular activity with the Tonka truck is giving rides. One child pushes while the other sits in the bed, and this gives them heavy work which satisfies sensory needs. It supports tactile sensory play since the children enjoy getting their hands messy filling the truck with mulch, dirt, sticks, gravel, or mud.
The Rody Pony is better as a solitary activity (There is a quite a bit of bickering over it.), and I will probably buy at least one more Rody Pony. The Tonka truck supports cooperative play because they work together to give rides and fill the bed of the truck.
What are your children's favorite outdoor toys?
Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post, and we bought these toys on our own. Opinions are solely my own and my kids. =)

Now, it's your turn to share how you have been playing outdoors with your kids.

Looks like lots of fun, I've never seen one of those Rody ponies but it looks like a space hopper thing - is is soft like that? Glad you all had a wonderful first Christmas together, Kierna
Looks like a lot of fun in your backyard. I wasn't familiar with the Rody Pony, but now that I have a 10 month old nephew I have discovered that hilariously jumpy pony! I'm sure your kids are loving their outdoor space.
My two year-old loves to take his trucks outside. He also loves to get the brooms out sweep the driveway!
Lovely to see them enjoying outdoor toys, I think the trampoline has to be my kids favourite, and the quad bike but not so much of a toy! I'd love you to join me on my Country Kids linky too.
My in-laws got the boys Rody's for Christmas, and two more adult sized ones for my husband and I! I am not joking when I tell you that we were ALL bouncing and racing around on them, I haven't laughed so hard in a long time! I had not heard of them before but they are a big hit!
Thanks for linking up with me
