I have challenged mothers to take pictures of themselves as they look normally for the #realme photo challenge. As women and mothers, we need to honor our beauty in the everyday.
When my children tell me I am the prettiest Mama in the world, they are seeing the real me. The me that wears no makeup, has holes in the knees of my jeans, rarely finds time to floss, goes more than half a year without a haircut, and can't seem to find the energy or will power to exercise at the gym.
Yet, I am still beautiful to them.
As a blogger of children's activities and like most mothers, I am behind the camera documenting my kids' lives. And when I do make it on the other side of the camera, I use the power of photo editing on the marvelous Pic Monkey to remove what I believe is unattractive.
Inspired by Late Enough, I made a decision to reveal the #realme on camera more often. I want to leave a legacy of photographs that are true images. Pictures of me as I am everyday as their mother.
Our clothes, makeup, or shower schedules do not define our beauty to our children. It is the real you that makes you beautiful to your children.
I challenge you to take more #realme pictures as you look to your children. No editing and no primping, unless you normally fix yourself up each day.
Even if you don't want to post them on Facebook or Instagram, capture the memory of the everyday you for your children to remember you by.
These bloggers have already taken the #realme photochallenge. Will you?

So inspiring Rebekah! I'm so glad I took a picture of #realme.
I love the #realme photo challenge. I can't believe I inspired something like this! I'm a little emotional because I actually had trouble hitting publish on my "I'm A Little Vain" post and here it is doing good. xo
